Our Story

Before we started this business, our home was full of noise, toys, and one little boy who changed everything for us.

Our grandson is on the autism spectrum, and he spent his early years living in our home. Watching him grow opened our eyes to how differently some families experience the world. If we hadn’t seen autism up close in our own living room, we might have misunderstood his struggles. Instead, we learned patience, empathy, and just how much weight families quietly carry every single day.

Loving him changed me. It reshaped how I see families and what service really means.

We also saw how much animals matter. At first, our grandson barely noticed our pets. Over time, he began to recognize them, gently pet them, and eventually love on them. That simple companionship helped him grow in connection and kindness. We’ve seen how animals — whether family pets or trained service dogs — can bring comfort, protection, and steady presence to children and adults with special needs.

Seeing all of this changed how I thought about work and purpose.

I had previously run a lawn care business here in Corpus Christi for 20 years before selling it in 2019. After stepping away from the home service industry for a time, I felt called back — but with a clearer reason why. I wanted to build something meaningful, something that would help provide for my grandson long after I’m gone. I understand the value of showing up and serving people well. This time, the purpose is deeper.

We saw how much families caring for children or loved ones with special needs already carry, and we wanted to lighten that load in a practical way — not just for our family, but for others in our community as well.

That conviction is what inspired this business.

We created Third Coast Poo Patrol to make life a little lighter for families who already have a lot on their plates. One less chore. One judgment-free service. One clean yard that feels safe and ready to enjoy.

It may seem small, but we know firsthand that small reliefs can make a big difference in a hard week.
